This is a series of digital landscape paintings inspired by a love of landscape, geology, geography and mountains. All the works showcased here have been painted digitally in the freeware Krita (www.krita.org).

The artist, Matthew, is self-taught. He took up painting as an antidote to academic life just under ten years ago. Matthew’s passion for landscape comes from a childhood spent in Snowdonia, since when he has travelled widely throughout the world as a geologist, but always returns home to the mountains of his youth.
